Personal Branding Summit Was a Success!
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the live event yesterday! We're collecting testimonials and coverage in the media and the blogosphere - while also catching up on our rest and client work. Here is just a small sampling of the kind words we received:
"I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU for today's events...all the organizers, speakers, etc. did an absolutely BRILLIANT job of putting this together, facilitating it, making this happen!!! I have enjoyed every minute!" - Billie Sucher
"Many thanks for inviting Ziggs to participate in this event. Tim and I found the event to be very well-planned, well-executed and extremely informative and valuable as an attendee. It was an honor to be involved." - Julia Bradley, VP Marketing, Ziggs, Inc.
"To all who so selflessly worked to make this summit a reality: Thank you, and God bless you! What a terrific effort. I am a wordsmith, and I am dumbfounded as I try to imagine what it took to put this together. This day provided Energy, Information and Inspiration - there's a brand for you all!" - Debra O'Reilly
We would like your feedback! Please post your comments below.
Thanks again to Conference Calls Unlimited, the podcast will be available here soon. We will email you when it is live if you register(ed) for the event.
Proudly,
The "A Brand You World - 2007 Global Telesummit" Team

Just to echo all that has been said and what I have read and received in follow up emails from people - it was one fantastic event and the kudos has to go out to the organizing committee and all the volunteers, hosts, speakers and sponsors for making this happen.
Cannot wait to download all the podcasts and fill my head with another thousand ideas on building my brand.
If we thought that 2007 was the year that personal banding finally hit the mainstream just watch out 2008!

A big shout out to everyone who listened in -- so glad you were there -- it made this all worthwhile for the organizers. We wanted to share our passion for branding, honor Tom Peters’ vision, and get you some great information. And from what I’ve been hearing we did it!
What a blast -- I'm still getting a giggle from picturing Guy leading his panel in his bathrobe in a Chicago hotel. Very cool that he encouraged his panelists to share where they were and what they were wearing! (I’d been working in my PJs since 5 am and felt like I was just one of the gang!)
Seriously, what a day -- the speakers were incredible -- individually and collectively -- the amount of energy and information literally flowing around the world was electrifying. For those of us on the organizing team -- all of whom gave blood, sweat, and tears for 6+ months to make this happen (while running our businesses) -- we achieved what we tried to do.
Our goal was to bring the best minds in the area of personal branding together on one day and make them accessible to the world -- to elevate the understanding of personal branding as a tool for career and business success (and support Kiva as well) and give real strategies and tools for creating that success.
Special thanks to Krishna De (event chair) and Kirsten Dixson (website guru) for hosting the lines for 12 hours straight! (Krishna in Ireland did so into the wee hours of the morning), to our sponsors for their generous contributions, and to all the bloggers and writers who got the word out and created some exceptional buzz –our own Jason Alba and Dan Schawbel were pretty lively in that area, as were many speakers and personal brand strategists.
I'm honored to be one of such a giving team of personal brand evangelists. There are too many others to mention here, and everyone worked so hard that I’m afraid to leave someone out, but you can find them on the organizers, speakers, and sponsors pages if you’re curious.
Bottom-line? We got a ton of VERY busy people to organize, speak at, and support something that became way bigger and way cooler than any one of us could have done alone. The 24 hours of innovative personal branding information and tools that went out over the airwaves November 8, 2007, is likely the biggest collaborative contribution to the body of knowledge on personal branding, ever.
Now that’s something to be proud of -- that body of knowledge will be a go-to source of learning and doing for countless more people as soon as the recordings launch next week. Wow, what a feeling!
We're glad you could join us!

Hi Nick, The recordings will be available on this site on Monday as a podcast. We will send you an email when they are live. We've actually had many inquiries about the recordings since the content was so stellar. All of the teleseminars on both lines were recorded by Conference Calls Unlimited, and all of them will be available for free. Best, Kirsten

It’s gratifying to see these immediate comments on this event. Certainly, as a member for the organizing team, it’s wonderful to see the impact of our efforts.
Yet, as Deb has pointed out in her wonderful comments, this event could only have happened though the convergence of commitment of all involved, including speakers, panelists, hosts, sponsors, partners, … and yes, participants world-wide who dialed in to take part in the learning!
Everyone “played big” and created one of the most significant and memorable events in the ten year history of personal branding!

I listened in on the resume section and enjoyed the expertise and POVs of your panelists. What was interesting is how difficult it seems to nail down precisely what "personal branding" means in a resume in particular, especially in a 1-pager. I would have liked to talk to these folks in depth as they obviously have many considerations to share on the shadowy subject of "character at work." Great job of getting people onto the same page from all over!

I enjoyed listening to Debbie Weill and dabbled in other presentations. Job well done to all!

Just curious if it's OK to reproduce the .mp3 files (with full credit and a link back of course!).
I'd love to share some of this with others!
